Alchemy darkroom has everything you need to print your own traditional black and white photographs from 35mm - 4x5 negatives.

All Chemistry and equipment is included in the hire rate, you’re responsible for bringing your own paper.

Darkroom experience is required. First time users can book a crash course in printing and darkroom techniques to get started.

The crash course includes a full days booking in the darkroom (8hrs) & a one on one tutorial for 2 hours for techniques and the basics of printing. 

Its BYO photo paper, I recommend ilford multi grade deluxe pearl 20.3 x 25.4 cm (8x10inch) pack of 25 or 50.it can be bought at places like rewindphoto lab, digidirect, George’s or digital camera warehouse.

You can also process your own black and white films using our developing tanks. This can be included as part of the crash course or you can have a local lab process the film and just rock up with your negs and selected frames ready to go.

Bookings are for the whole darkroom. Bring a friend and use both enlargers during the same session for an extra $35/half day or $45/full day
